Carpet Cleaning 101

So your white living room carpet is starting to look more like a spotted Dalmatian than anything else. You have tried countless stain removal liquids and nothing seems to do the trick! Well, we would like to share some easy solutions to remove different stains with liquids found in your home. If you have children and they have decided to make a game out of sticking gum or hard candy to your carpet, then we have some solutions for you! First spray a solution of mixed water and detergent. Once you have done so, blot the area dry with a clean cloth. Next, apply ammonia and let it soak for a while. Again, blot the area dry with a clean cloth. Now, apply some vinegar and let it soak. Be sure to blot the area dry before re-applying the detergent solution. Lastly, spray some warm water directly at the stain. If the stain is starting to disappear, but has not done so fully, then repeat the steps until it is completely gone! These steps can also be used when removing dark stains such as Ketchup, wine, or coffee.
